   Information Management

A Framework for Information Management

One of the primary objectives of this site is to advance a framework for Information Management that people can use, challenge and develop. It is a work in progress, and the more developed sections are posted below.

The intention is to build up answers to the following questions:

  • What is Information Management?
  • What basic principles can be used to ensure value creation?
  • What does Information Management do?
  • Who should do it? Where does it fit in the organisation?
  • What skills does IM require?
  • What are the goals of an information strategy?
  • How can information strategy be translated into action?

Why do we need Information Management?
